Now that a computer hacker has publicized 3,000 emails exposing the lies and collusion behind the anthropomorphic (man made) climate change fraud, will there be a UN or Congressional investigation and will the perpetrators be brought to justice or at least have their grants cut? Sure, when the Arctic freezes over. To check out the most egregious revelations, see www.jamesdelingpole.com
This scandal is being called Climategate, which I guess casts Al Gore in the role of Tricky Dickie Nixon. But the analogy underrates the severity of the crime. Watergate was just a bunch of Republican operatives trying to steal strategy secrets from a Democratic Party campaign office to win an election that the Republicans had in the bag anyway.
Climategate is an international, yes, I’ll say it, conspiracy to scare the world into giving our intellectual and moral superiors the power to control every aspect of our lives by convincing enough people that the alternative is certain death, being fried to a crisp by ever-increasing global warming (although first it might actually cool for several decades).
The dominant, liberal media might be forced to cover this one, since the word “climategate” already produces 1.3 million items on my search engine.
This is the final nail in the Cap ‘n’ tax coffin and may it rest in peace.

Terrorist Show Trial
Attorney General Eric Holder announced that five Guantanamo terrorists, including the self-proclaimed mastermind of the 9/11 attacks, will be brought to the United States for trial as criminals, with all of the Constitutional protections accorded to US citizens. Since Holder serves at the will of the President, this is being done at Obama’s behest.
As non-uniformed terrorists, they aren’t even entitled to the benefits of The Geneva Convention. At best, they should be tried in a military court.
Obama knows that the defense will drag out all the old grievances against the Bush Administration such as illegal detention, “torture” and various alleged mistreatments. (Never mind that they gained weight, had their Korans and prayer mats and the best medical care of their lives.) It will inflame Islamic passions and encourage more terrorist attacks, needlessly endangering more US lives.
So why is this happening? Because next year is an election year and the Democrats are in trouble. This will be a show trial in which the Bush Administration, i.e., Republicans will be the target. The Obamaites know that they can count on their media friends to play up every defense accusation against “Bush/ Cheney.” They hope this will distract voters from focusing on the unemployment, deficits and Obama’s unconstitutional power grab (the financial and auto industries, healthcare and Cap ‘n’ Tax – talk about “audacity”).
This is an outrageous case of Obama putting political opportunism ahead of US national security and his sworn duty to protect and defend the Constitution.

Silent Heroes
This is not about politics or economics. It's about silent heroes. While I was at the blood bank today, there was a guy who looked to be in his 70s hooked up to a platelet machine across the room. I didn't think too much about him at the time. After I was finished I was looking around the bank while having some water and there on the wall I saw a picture of this guy with the blood bank manager.
What did he do to get his picture up there? He has given 52 gallons of blood and blood products at this bank. Fifty two gallons! Soon he was finished with his hour-long stint and I walked over to express my admiration. As you might expect he was unassuming, almost humble about this tremendous record of commitment and generosity.
The heroes are not the people who get all the TV exposure. The real heroes are the people all around us in our communities who donate their time, money and, yes, blood without fanfare or expectation of reward. They just do it because they believe it is the right thing to do.
It’s easy to become cynical, seeing all the hypocrites, egomaniacs and self-seekers in the news. So let’s try to remember that for each one of them there are thousands of silent heroes who are quietly giving every day to alleviate human suffering and to make our communities and the world better places.
